“Whispers of the Aboriginal land” Talk on Chilean ceramics

 

The Center for the Study of Modern Ceramics invites you to discover Chilean ceramics, with the talk “Whispers of the Aboriginal land” by Chilean ceramist Viviana Gormaz Vargas. Ceramics are an integral part of the cultural heritage of the indigenous tribes of Chile. A presentation that guides us through the traditional pottery techniques of the Atacameños, Diaguitas and Mapuches tribes.l

Viviana Gormaz Vargas was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. She studied design and ceramics. She has participated in international artistic projects and ceramic exhibitions in Latin America and Europe. Her works are hosted by the International Museum of Contemporary Ceramics in Buenos Aires and in other cultural and university institutions. She currently lives and works in Madrid.
