Programs for High School

Pottery in Ancient and Modern Times

For 1st Grade of High School

The program aims to introduce students to the historical evolution of pottery, to learn about the functionality of ancient vessels, the shapes, patterns, and decorations used on them.

How were ancient vessels made, and what decoration techniques did potters use in ancient Greece?

How were the black-figure and red-figure pottery created?

Through well-designed educational games and videos, and using clay as an expressive medium, students approach the material and learn about its composition. At the same time, by walking through the museum rooms, they gather information about the role of pottery in the daily life of people, both in the past and today.
