Solo Exhibition by Sculptor – Ceramicist Dina Anastasiadou
Exhibition Duration: October 5-20, 2018
This exhibition transports the aesthetic of the architectural culture of aristocratic settlements from the 3rd to the 7th century through the ceramic sculptures of the artist. The works feature a distinctive geometric identity with a modern interpretation.
Small “busts” of koi, symbols of longevity and prosperity, attract the visitors of the exhibition.
The ceramic sculptures of horses are integrated into the Haniwa, clay sculptures that honored prominent figures in Japan, while maintaining their contemporary perspective.
Almost all the exhibited ceramic sculptures bear the stamp of the Japanese patina “Raku” and serve as a link in the chain of Japanese ceramics with those of Dina Anastasiadou.
